While his love for athletics and fitness never waned, a personal tragedy shifted his priorities. In 2004, his brother Peter was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He recognized the need for a safer and more efficient method of prescribing and dispensing medications, so he founded Vivera.

Under Mr. Edalat’s leadership, Vivera has scaled to new heights, introducing two revolutionary products: TABMELT for biopharmaceutical delivery and ZICOH, a smart, dose–controlled prescription medication delivery device.

ZICOH was designed to address the challenges associated with patient adherence. It is a patented, dose–controlled, smart medication delivery device that ZICOH works by dispensing precise medication doses only to the registered patient, leaving little room for misuse or diversion.
