Revolutionizing Patient Care with Innovative Patented Technology
Prescription drug misuse is a critical health crisis. Misusing medications, even those prescribed, can lead to severe health complications, notably addiction. This is where Vivera steps in.
Innovation for Safety and Compliance
Vivera is a leader in healthcare, harnessing state–of–the–art technologies.
Its goal?
Strengthen medication safety and compliance, thereby reducing prescription drug abuse and streamlining communication throughout the medication supply chain.
Vivera’s Story of Inception
Vivera’s inception is deeply personal. Paul Edalat, the Company’s Chairman, Founder, and CEO, started as a health enthusiast passionate about tennis and fitness.
He leveraged his experiences and entrepreneurial skills to make a mark in the rapidly growing fitness and wellness sectors.
While his love for athletics and fitness never waned, a personal tragedy shifted his priorities. In 2004, his brother Peter was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Supporting him throughout his two–year battle with cancer, Mr. Edalat was exposed to numerous flaws within the healthcare system.
One of the most glaring issues was the lack of safety protocols around prescribing medications. Peter was prescribed high doses of opioids to manage his chemotherapy pain. But the absence of safeguards led him to become addicted.
This painful experience, combined with his profound knowledge and expertise in health and wellness, ignited a determination within Mr. Edalat to create a company that genuinely prioritized people over profit. He recognized the need for a safer and more efficient method of prescribing and dispensing medications, so he founded Vivera.
Under Mr. Edalat’s leadership, Vivera has scaled to new heights, introducing two revolutionary products: TABMELT for biopharmaceutical delivery and ZICOH, a smart, dose–controlled prescription medication delivery device.
Highlighting ZICOH for Smart Drug Delivery
ZICOH was designed to address the challenges associated with patient adherence. It is a patented, dose–controlled, smart medication delivery device that ZICOH works by dispensing precise medication doses only to the registered patient, leaving little room for misuse or diversion. The timing feature supports adherence by restricting access to off–schedule doses.
ZICOH integrates seamlessly with ZICOH ConnectTM, a synchronized, cloud–based software system with strong data organization and Al capabilities. They collect and aggregate real–time prescribing data and generate actionable insights to facilitate medication adherence, oversight, and compliance.
Ultimately, the ZICOH medication delivery system aims to provide the targeted release of medications and may offer a solution to better control medications known to be highly addictive and highly abused.
Vivera’s Patient–First Philosophy

The future is technology-driven. Al, machine learning, and big data are reshaping drug discovery and patient care.
The Pros and Cons of Technology
Advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and big data analytics have transformed drug discovery. By leveraging these technologies, healthcare professionals can identify new drug targets, predict the efficacy and safety of novel compounds, and accelerate the drug discovery process.
Technology is transforming the way drugs are delivered to patients. Digital health technologies such as telemedicine, remote monitoring, and mobile health apps enable patients to receive personalized care and manage their health from the comfort of their homes.
Although technology can positively transform the industry, there are potential drawbacks to consider. While using Al and big data to inform drug development, there remains a risk of perpetuating biases and inequalities in healthcare, particularly if they aren’t properly calibrated and validated. Digital health technologies also raise concerns about data privacy and security.
Vivera considers technology’s benefits and potential draw-backs with each project it undertakes.
Mr. Edalat says, “The future is technology–driven. Al, machine learning, and big data are reshaping drug discovery and patient care, offering more personalized and efficient healthcare solutions. Yet, we’re mindful of the challenges, particularly in maintaining data privacy and avoiding biases in Al.”
Commitment to Innovation and Continuous Research
Vivera is committed to innovation and continuous research to develop groundbreaking products that address unmet medical needs across the spectrum. They have invested in a talented team of researchers, scientists, and professionals who share the vision for improving patients‘ lives worldwide.
