With only 16% of customers live on SAP S/4HANA and 63% still caught in the planning phase, SAP has decided to extend the deadline requiring companies to move to SAPS/4HANA from 2025 to 2027.

This announcement, however, does not ease the urgency for companies to rethink their migration methods and integration of new and innovative technologies in their future business structure and processes.

Most companies that are still in the planning phase are most likely comparing the different methods in which they should transfer their data – whether it be a full system upgrade from an old ERP to a new SAP S/4HANA system (Brownfield), where readjustments are only possible to a limited extent. Another traditional option could be a completely new implementation of SAP S/4HANA (Greenfield), which does not provide the possibility to transfer historical data or completed processes.

The good news is… you don’t have to choose.

Together in an innovative community with SAP and partners, known as the SAP S/4HANA Selective Data Transition Engagement, Natuvion offers a third option called the Selective Data Transition to help customers reuse and repurpose their data by enabling them to keep their historical data and existing processes. It represents an attractive hybrid of the other traditional migration approaches, which offers customers a certain degree of flexibility in their data migration needs.

As part of the Selective Data Transition, proven processes are initially retained and implemented on SAP S/4HANA and historical data can then be carried over. You can find out more about the Selective Data Transition Engagement in Natuvion’s Transformation Training webinar series here and listen to SAP, Customers, and Partners talk about their lessons learned during their SAP S/4HANA Selective Data Transition journeys. Print version https://www.natuvion.com/en/tags/ webinar.

With Natuvion’s Cutover App, you can cut your migration efforts in half.

To compliment what may seem to be a very complex migration consisting of several cutovers, Natuvion has innovated a new project management app that can help you plan your detailed work breakdown structure for your move to SAP S/4HANA. This transformation app provides project leaders with transparency and the ability to automate task assignment throughout the entire cutover process. The app was built on the SAP Cloud Platform and can be used in several types of cutover projects.

However, this cloud app comes with an SAP S/4HANA project cutover template to help you stay on the right track. Depending on your exact project needs, you can set-up your app to track your individual team member tasks and automated messaging.
