In today’s fast-paced world, where we juggle endless responsibilities, stress can quietly take over, affecting our well-being and sense of peace. Prioritizing wellness is no longer a luxury — it’s essential.
Balipura was born from this need, deeply inspired by the transformative power of energy healing, sound healing, and meditation. Founder Micaela Restano had long envisioned making crystal healing energy accessible to as many people as possible. With a strong background in the wellness industry and a passion for natural innovation, she shifted from a corporate career to fully embrace her c alling. In 2013, on the island of Bali, she founded Balipura — a brand dedicated to energetically supporting both people and Mother Nature in raising their vibration.
By blending ancient healing techniques with modern science and design, Balipura offers three signature product lines — Aura Roll-OMs, Aura Mists, and Crystal Bracelets — all crafted to work harmoniously with the human energy field. Pioneering in the wellness and beauty space, Balipura merges consciousness, innovation, and high-end design into every creation, offering not just products, but energetic tools for a more aligned and radiant life.
1. Please shed some light on your journey as a woman entrepreneur and leader.
Life in Buenos Aires had become predictable. I had reached a stage of professional maturity and comfort, yet something within me longed for more. There was a whisper calling me to deeper waters, to a place where I could shed the layers of structure and certainty.
When I arrived in Bali, I felt an immediate shift — a depth, a softness, and the freedom to release everything I had known. I took a leap into the unknown, leaving behind the safety of the familiar to start anew. I asked myself: What do I truly want to create? How do I want to live?
My journey unfolded through energy healing, meditation, and the vibrations of sound therapy. In stillness, I found clarity. The path revealed itself: to weave all my passions into a single creation, one that carries the essence of this transformation.
Looking back, I would choose this leap again and again. It taught me that true alignment comes when we follow the call of the heart — even when the destination is unclear. The joy and motivation come not from knowing where the road will end, but from walking it with purpose and pleasure. And from there, the path blooms beneath your feet.
2. Reflecting on your professional journey, what pivotal decisions or experiences have played a defining role in shaping your career trajectory as a woman leader?
Choosing to follow the call of my heart, rather than the conventional path to “success,” was a defining moment in my journey. As a female leader, building a business alongside an all-women team — where we uplift, inspire, and support one another — marked another profound shift, especially coming from a world that had been largely male-dominated.
3. What challenges did you face while making Balipura a healing hub infused with the energy of crystals and planets, turning it to the Balipura Transfer Method ™?
In the early days, there were many challenges. Starting a business in a place where most suppliers didn’t even have a website meant that every step felt like a treasure hunt for things that seemed impossible to find — yet, somehow, everything I needed was there, waiting to be discovered.
The next challenge was scaling up — producing larger quantities of something born from a deeply artisanal and spiritual process, while protecting the essence, care, and soul that defined it from the very beginning.
4. Do you think even in the 21st-century era, women leaders face an extra set of challenges to break the status quo while donning leadership roles?
While progress has been made, women leaders still navigate an extra layer of challenges — from unconscious bias and unequal opportunities to societal expectations that often hold us to different standards. In many industries, leadership structures were historically built by and for men, which means women must work harder to be heard, to be seen, and to create space for our authentic leadership styles.
However, I also see this as an opportunity — to challenge outdated norms, to lead with empathy and collaboration, and to create workplaces where diversity is a strength. For me, leading an all-women team is not only about breaking the status quo but also about building a new model of leadership — one rooted in support, empowerment, and shared growth.
5. What strategic vision do you hold to expand your boundaries in the coming years as a woman leader?
Bringing the soul of Bali’s beautiful energy to people all over the world — in a delicate, portable, and in physical form. Balipura has managed to Our products make it easy to integrate this energy into daily life, offering an experience that is both deeply conscious and elegantly glamorous.
6. What are the core principles of your leadership, and how do you align them with the goals of Balipura?
At the heart of my leadership is integrity — leading with transparency, honesty, and consistency in everything I do. I believe in walking my talk, ensuring that every decision, product, and action reflects the values we stand for.
Equally important is my deep connection to nature as a source of healing. Nature provides the purest form of balance and restoration, and I strive to integrate that wisdom into Balipura’s mission. Our products are designed to channel nature’s energy in its most authentic form, so people can experience its transformative power in their everyday lives.
By holding integrity as our compass and nature as our guide, we ensure that Balipura not only delivers beautiful, effective products but also contributes to a more conscious and harmonious world.
7. How has your leadership contributed to the transformation of Balipura from a soul searching and meditation-driven work to a crystal-infused aura producing firm?
From the very beginning, I envisioned Balipura as a company that could merge professionalism with spiritual authenticity. This long-term strategy has guided steady improvements across every process — from production to logistics — elevating them to the highest standards while staying true to our core values.
My leadership has been rooted in a constant pursuit of excellence, making decisions that balance economic growth, product quality, and the preservation of our spiritual essence. Every refinement is made with the intention of honoring both the artisanal origins of our products and the demands of a global market.
My background in business, along with a postgraduate degree in marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in London, has equipped me to steer Balipura’s transformation — from a soul-searching, meditation-inspired project to a professional, crystal-infused aura care brand that carries the same depth and purpose it was born with.
8. What is your advice for aspiring women leaders to thrive in the highly competitive wellness world?
Find your own voice — your vision, your concepts, and your unique way of bringing them to life. In today’s wellness industry, authenticity is what truly sets you apart. Don’t simply follow trends; instead, follow your inner compass and create from the heart.
At Balipura, our mission is to craft the purest, most effective crystal-infused products to uplift, support, and tangibly benefit those seeking to enhance their well-being. This is our way of contributing to the elevation of Mother Earth’s vibration — and that begins with staying true to who we are.
