If you do not know where to get new drill bits for a mining tool, then you will have to scramble to find a seller if that drill bit breaks, and that can lead to major delays in the short term.

Always look into user’s manuals or other official documentation related to the heavy equipment that you will need to repair. Understanding something basic, like knowing how to change the drive oil on a specific dozer model, can be all it takes to get the repairs done quickly and smoothly.
If you are not sure what you will need to be doing and do not have any real experience in repairs, then going in completely unprepared is more likely to cause additional problems. You might mount something incorrectly and damage the equipment further, or even use the wrong kind of fuel to refuel a vehicle and break its engine.
Take Safety Precautions
Take as many safety measures as you can when handling heavy equipment.
