Cloud and AI driving growth

COVID-19 was like a bolt from the blue for the entire world when the worldwide lockdown and isolation drastically changed people’s lives. Now that we have come out of the situation, the fear of uncertainties still persists, compelling individuals and businesses to make their business digitally future-ready. In this post-COVID era, digital transformation is taking new turns with diverse technologies, from artificial intelligence (AI) to cloud computing,  5G networking to Data Analytics, and Quantum Computing to Edge computing.

In the post-COVID period, experts predict that Artificial Intelligence and 5G communication will reshape the world. It is further believed that data analytics will empower decision-making, cloud computing will transform data management, and computing advancements will accelerate problem-solving. COVID-19 has encouraged organizations to swap the technology for their conventional system. Over the years, AI, 5G communication, cloud computing, data analytics, robotics, quantum computing, and edge computing have developed, but the use of these technologies has been intensified with COVID-19.

These technologies are viewed as the primary alternative as the pandemic has impacted organizations ‘ ability to function remotely. The healthcare industry is working more diligently, and the government is searching for steps that can mitigate the economic effects of COVID-19.

Artificial Intelligence & Cloud Computing

Many organizations have deployed digital transformation over the years. But this transition was limited to major tech companies such as Apple, Amazon, and Microsoft, among others. With the outbreak of coronavirus, organizations have recognized the value of combining AI with cloud computing in their organizational setup, raising cloud security, and storing data.

The involvement of AI and big data in healthcare is significant in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. The use of AI has been robust, especially for identifying COVID patients and securing a COVID hotspot.

Data science and artificial intelligence in manufacturing have meant that many organizations will upgrade their businesses. Businesses, organizations, and retailers enhance customer service with the help of conversational AI and chatbots, without any human assistance. Machine learning now handles the mundane tasks that were previously performed by humans in the pre-COVID world. It allows companies to concentrate on tasks that require human expertise and attention. With cloud computing services, it has been evident that cloud services are globally accepted as an alternative to restore data.

Many organizations have already proposed working remotely as a choice for the future, with the world facing an unimaginable situation. That is why the possibility of artificial intelligence gaining popularity shortly is obvious. AI and big data were generally embraced across the sector during COVID-19. Experts have already raised a green flag for the wide acceptance of this technology soon.

Data Analytics

Data Analytics has been the foundation of organizational decision-making after COVID. In this post-COVID era, organizations are highly relying on external data to understand and predict consumer behavior.

During the pandemic, businesses’ reliance on data-driven decision-making proved to be resilient. Their ability to quickly analyze and respond to changing consumer demands became a competitive advantage.

Additionally, the shift to remote work highlighted the cloud-based analytics tools. This enables teams to collaborate and gain insights. As the pandemic exposed the necessity of data agility, organizations leveraging data analytics are now enabled to swiftly adapt to new strategic requirements. A large enterprise often partners with a third-party data center to collect, store, analyze, and use its organizational data for empowered and informed decision-making.

5G Communication

To work effectively, every organization needs a good network. With the global pandemic outbreak, the need for a communication network was felt and witnessed internationally. This would not impede the functioning of organizations even during remote work.

A network failure can generate a massive amount of money for any organization. It can disrupt activities, thwart the global supply chain, and if critical operations are going on, it can prove disastrous. A fast network ensures efficient operations in an industry where connectivity is the key to managing companies. This ensures that there is no hindrance in the delivery of services.

Experts have found 5G to be an emerging technology that will revolutionize the world. It is a known fact that even before its advent or use, this technology has created a lot of buzz. As the world’s landscape changes post-COVID, so will technological acceptance. It will be fascinating to see how artificial intelligence will benefit countries and organizations.

Edge Computing

Edge computing started to take center stage in 2021, with an explosive amount of data being generated outside of the data center. The rapid implementation of hyperscale cloud and the Internet of Things (IoT) in the face of COVID-19 has pushed edge computing into the forefront of technological development. As a salient component of network infrastructure, this technology supports the new distributed workforce, helping businesses strengthen their IT infrastructure with AI and 5G, and win a competitive edge. It decentralizes the computing systems to reduce pressure on data centers and service provider networks. Edge computing unlocks real-time processing closer to the users and devices and preserves bandwidth.

Enterprise Mobility Management

Enterprise mobility has become important than ever before. After the pandemic, businesses have effectively embraced online service-providing systems and allowed remote working to ensure workers can work from anywhere. Mobile technologies like smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices have gained immense popularity during and after the pandemic. It lets businesses integrate mobile devices into business processes to improve flexibility and productivity. It manages networks, devices, and data security to support workers working through mobile devices.

Quantum Computing

Businesses like healthcare facilities are leveraging quantum computing to help improve the front end of processes. This has the potential to lower the costs and time to market dramatically, repurpose pre-approved drugs, and more. The rise of quantum computing has accelerated investment flows, technological breakthroughs, start-up proliferation, and more. With the help of this technology, it will be possible to instantly identify any possible pathogen. This will assist in understanding the nature of viruses.
